The renovation is for a new family kitchen and laundry set in an open space shared with the much used lounge and dining area.

We addressed the changing needs of the grown-up family. The kitchen being a busy area with family members eating at different times as they come and go during the day. There is a need to sit & chat and a spot to drop off groceries. All the while appearing “tidy.”

A brighter space was created inspired by the owners love of the granite Orinoco that can be seen prominently as the oven splashback.

Bespoke drawer depths were created for under the island bench top and also in the pantry stacks for specific items. Pantry shelving provided plenty of space for appliances. Durable surfaces were chosen for easy cleaning. Increasing the size of the island with an up-stand provided a shield from the business side of the kitchen.
